The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is investigating a domestic violence shooting from Saturday night that left a New Baltimore man dead and his wife critically injured.

The shooting took place about 10:40 p.m. Saturday at the Macomb Storage facility on Main Street in New Haven, the sheriff's office said in a statement. Police responded to a 911 call from the victim, a 24-year-old New Baltimore woman, who said her husband had shot her multiple times before shooting himself.

Police and medics arrived, and medics transported the husband and wife to the hospital. The husband, identified as Brandon Dodd, 25, died.

The victim was shot in her stomach, buttocks and shoulder, and is in critical condition at last report.
