A working journalist since 1980, Chris has been covering sports for the Detroit News since 1994. He is believed to be the only sportswriter to ever cover as full-time beats all four major professional sports teams: Pistons (16 years), Red Wings (two years), Lions (four years) and presently the Tigers (since 2015).
