Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken opens in Wayne: The newest fried chicken joint in town is opening Friday in Wayne. The first 100 guests at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken Friday morning will get a free two-piece breast strip meal and one lucky person could win free Lee’s for a year. Brew Detroit expands distribution: Corktown-based Brew Detroit has joined AllPoints Distribution Network, which means their beers will be on shelves all over Michigan, from the Upper Peninsula to Grand Rapids and elsewhere. The contract brewery started a decade ago, and has grown to produce its own branded beer like Cerveza Delray, Cloud 19, Yumtown and Campin’ Beer. Atwater Brewery’s D Light goes to retail: Previously sold exclusively at Comerica Park, Atwater Brewery’s low calorie, low carb beer D Light is now available at retail in 12-ounce and 16-ounce cans. Mayor Pingree scores 91 points from Whisky Advocate: Ferndale’s Valentine Distilling Co. is celebrating a high score from Whisky Advocate for its Mayor Pingree Red Label Bourbon Whiskey Batch Series Bosco.
