One year after an apartment fire in Eastern Market forced Supino Pizzeria to close its doors following extensive water damage, the popular restaurant will reopen for carryout-only service on Tuesday.

Supino owner Dave Mancini told The Detroit News that next week the Russell street location will have carryout service Tuesday ahead of the NFL Draft hub-bub that's expected to flood the downtown Detroit area. Following that, carryout service will continue Wednesdays through Sundays.

He's hoping that by Eastern Market's annual Flower Day, May 19, they'll be open full speed with dine-in.

"We've got a whole redesign of the front area that we're not implementing yet because we're just trying to get through the Draft, so it's kind of like a 1.0 version," Mancini said. "We're still hiring, if we get enough people we're going to try to do Tuesday through Sunday in the market eventually."

Starting Tuesday, pick-up orders can be placed online at supinopizzeria.com. Supino's New Center location at 6519 Woodward has been open daily for dine-in and carryout service.
