The Clinton Township Police Department has named a person of interest in a double homicide in the township.

Police said Robert Leo Marzejka, 24, is sought in connection to the deaths of an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man whose bodies were found in a shed behind the woman's home on Culver in Rudgate, a mobile home community north of 16 Mile and west of Groesbeck.

Marzejka was reported to be driving a white 1999 Ford E-250 van with a Michigan license plate DGM7658. Blue duct tape appears around the driver's side rear window, police said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts or the van is asked to contact the Clinton Township Police Department at (586) 493-7802, the U.S. Marshals Service DFAT at (313) 234-5656 or Crime Stoppers, which is offering at $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest, at 1-800-SPEAKUP.

Police were alerted to the bodies overnight, said Capt. Richard Maierle. He declined to say who made the discovery or what prompted that person's visit to the home.

Police believe they have identified the victims, but investigators were not releasing their names Monday because they were in the process of notifying their families.

Robert Leo Marzejka was last seen driving a white 1999 Ford E-250 van, Michigan license plate # DGM7658, with blue duct tape around the driver's side rear window.

However, police said the female victim had been reported missing some days ago.

The deaths are the second and third homicides of the year in Clinton Township, Maierle said.

An autopsy on one of the victims was completed; the other is scheduled Tuesday, Maierle said.
