Clinton Township – A suburban Detroit man has been ordered to stand trial in last year’s slayings of his sister and her boyfriend.

WDIV-TV (Channel 4) reports a judge on Wednesday determined there was enough evidence to send the first-degree murder case against Robert Marzejka to trial.

Family members and investigator testified at the hearing.

Marzejka was arrested Aug. 29 at a library in Cincinnati, Ohio. The bodies of 18-year-old Danielle Marzejka and 19-year-old Seren Bryan were discovered three days earlier in trash bags in a shed in Macomb County’s Clinton Township, about 20 miles northeast of Detroit.

Marzejka in December was found competent to stand trial. His lawyer has said Marzejka has suffered mental health issues and another mental evaluation could take place before trial.
