EMU suspends starting QB Brogan Roback
Eastern Michigan starting quarterback Brogan Roback has been suspended from the team by coach Chris Creighton.
"With the privilege of being a member of the Eastern Michigan football program, there are expectations and standards to which we hold our student-athletes accountable," Creighton said in a release.
Roback, a redshirt junior, was suspended for a "violation of team and department rules." The length of the suspension has not been determined.
Roback played in all 12 games last season, completing 208-of-343 passes for 2,285 yards, with 19 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The Eagles finished 1-11.
Roback missed several weeks in 2014 with a facial injury.
Eastern starts its season Sept. 2 at home against Mississippi Valley State.
