Detroit — The Detroit Lions head into the bye week with an injection of confidence after besting division rival Green Bay Packers on Sunday, 31-23, but the team didn't escape the victory unscathed.

Cornerback and return man Jamal Agnew suffered a left knee injury and had to be helped off the field before being carted to the locker room during the fourth quarter.

Lions running back Kerryon Johnson takes the ball up field after the handoff from quarterback Matthew Stafford in the fourth quarter.

Lions coach Matt Patricia did not have an immediate update on the All-Pro returner.

"We’ll find out when we get that evaluated," Patricia said after the game.

The Lions also had two other players who didn't finish the game — rookie running back Kerryon Johnson and cornerback Teez Tabor.

Tabor had to be helped to the sideline after suffering a groin injury in the third quarter. Johnson was injured early in the fourth, when his foot appeared to stick in the turf as he was pushed out of bounds on a 24-yard carry.

Shortly after, Johnson's return was considered questionable due to an ankle injury.

The Lions leaned on power back LeGarrette Blount down the stretch. Johnson admitted he feared the worst in the moment, but after a few minutes he felt he could have returned.

"Yeah, I think I could’ve," Johnson said. "If I can walk, I can run. That’s just the mindset I’ve always tried to play with. If I needed to, I think I could have."
